Nancy grew up on a farm NE of Yates Center, KS and graduated from Yates Center High School. She attended Iola JR College and graduated from Independence Beauty College. In 1969 she met the love of her life Charles “Chuck” Taylor; they were married in 1970 and had 3 sons, Chad, Jason and Dustin. In 1980, Chuck lost his battle with cancer and she was left with 3 small sons to support. Finding it difficult to make a living working in a hair salon, she went back to school and achieved an associate degree in business. She has many years of office experience, having worked for Mize Houser and Company, Security Benefit Group and Kansas Association for Justice (KS Trial Lawyers). She loves to work with and around people. Not only is she is a daughter to her 90 year old Mother and Mother (to 3 sons), she is Grandma (to 11) and Great Grandma (to 4); she cherishes the time she gets to spend with her family and her Mother is her Best Friend. Nancy is a very active and involved member of St. John’s Lutheran church and many oth-er organizations. In her free time she likes to read, travel, work in her flower garden, watch the birds and squirrels on the farm and “just plain do nothing”. Self Bible study and devo-tions are on her evening schedule. Nancy gives God the glory that he opened a door for her here at Brookwood Covenant.
